Chaplain Stanley Viquez was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and raised in Texas. He has been married for over 30 years and has two children and a granddaughter. He is a Protestant, Spirit-filled, non-denominational ordained minister, and a third-generation minister with over 30 years of ministry experience.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Leadership and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry and Chaplaincy, both from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed Officer Development School in February 2026 and is endorsed by The Coalition of Spirit-filled Churches.

Chaplain Viquez has served as a church planter, assistant pastor, senior pastor, and apostolic leader. He currently oversees and serves as board president for three congregations in Texas: Light City Church, Victory Family Church, and Mundo de Fe Mesquite, with responsibilities spanning preaching, teaching, counseling, spiritual leadership, organizational development, and pastoral oversight. He fluently speaks and writes in Spanish.

Most recently he served as an Emergency Department Chaplain at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas, a Level I trauma hospital, specializing in crisis response, trauma care support, grief counseling, and spiritual care in high-acuity medical environments. He has completed five units of Clinical Pastoral Education and is pursuing clinical chaplain board certification through ACPE.

In July 2025, Baylor Scott & White Health honored him with an award recognizing his exceptional servant leadership, communication, cultural competence, and collaboration in spiritual care and clinical education.
